  2007 Targets  
     
 
Corporate Governance:
- To review corporate governance compliance requirements in all European operations and to develop a groupwide standard to ensure consistency of approach
   
- By the end of 2007, to undertake a review of the activities of the Group Risk and Responsibility Committee against its agreed Terms of Reference
 
Employees:
- Following the successful implementation of the PDR process in France, we will roll the PDR process across all of our European operations by the end of 2007
   
- Following the review of European employment policies and standards in 2006, to develop an action plan to work towards a consistency of approach in groupwide employment policies and standards, while being mindful of local legislation and cultural differences
   
- To review the results of the 2006 Employee Engagement Survey to identify areas for improvement and to take action in these areas to improve engagement for the next survey in 2008
   
- To begin to develop a global employment grading system
 
Community:
- To double the proportion of employees taking up volunteering (on 2006 figures)
   
- To coordinate and complete a 'Seeing is Believing' programme for the Executive Committee members
 
Customers:
- To carry out further independent customer surveys, share findings with customers, and act on the results
   
- To increase the proportion of customers rating overall satisfaction as good or excellent from the 73% level measured in the November 2006 survey
   
- In all areas of interface where satisfaction is measured, to maintain or enhance the high levels of satisfaction evident in 2006
   
- To maintain or improve upon the current very low level of criminal activity (approx. 3 minor incidents per week) on the Slough Trading Estate (as measured by total numbers of incidents, in figures provided by Thames Valley police)
   
- To install CCTV or other preventative measures to protect our customers’ property at five further estates
   
- To carry out a minimum of 20 customer awareness-raising sessions on the green credentials of their power supply (SH&P)
 
H&S:
- To implement the UK H&S management system
   
- Review legislation across all countries of operation and develop an action plan for rolling out a groupwide H&S management system
   
- All UK and European employees to have received basic H&S training by the end of 2007
 
Procurement and Supply Chain:
- To develop a phased CR engagement action plan with suppliers
   
- To ensure 75% of our UK construction contractors have an EMS in place
 
Energy Use:
- To establish a European working party to prepare SEGRO for the implementation of the EPBD and to develop a groupwide action plan to ensure readiness for the EPBD
   
- To calculate the carbon footprint of the Slough Trading Estate as a first step towards developing a groupwide carbon management plan
   
- To review the feasibility and cost of installing renewable energy technologies on all new UK office developments starting on site in 2007
   
- To generate the equivalent of Slough Trading Estates steam requirement in ‘Green Steam’ (SH&P)
 
Emissions and Pollution:
- To have zero environmental complaints (SH&P)
   
- To have zero unauthorised releases (SH&P)
   
- To hold a workshop and agree a set of procedures for pollution prevention and control on all our 2007 developments with our 6 largest contractors (by spend)
   
- To review and develop a set of pollution prevention and control procedures for our worldwide operations
 
Transport:
- Reduce the average C02 rating of the car fleet from 180 to 175 grammes/km during the period 2007-9
   
- To pilot green travel plans on two of our 2007 development sites and report back findings to assess benefits
 
Land Use:
- To achieve a 100% of development starts on brownfield land
   
- To incorporate a minimum of 8% green space on all new developments
   
- To achieve BREEAM 'excellent' on 1 new development
   
- To implement a meaningful and measurable self-certification scheme for all new developments based on the BREEAM requirements and ensure that all new developments meet
a minimum of self-certified BREEAM Very Good
 
Waste Management:
- To develop a standardised methodology for collating and analysing waste management data including waste streams and quantities against development type, with a view to rolling it out across the business
   
- To hold workshops with our 6 largest contractors (by spend) and agree waste management plans for the construction phase of all new developments
   
- To adopt a groupwide waste management action plan
